Running in the rain

Bethany met up with Becky to do yoga on the South Side. Silas and I went for a pleasant 5 mile run on the trails and streets. The city is always pretty at night. And we also stopped so Silas could watch choreographed fountain at Station Square.

Then we all went to the Library for dinner. Here was Silas sharing an inside joke with Becky. Maybe he was just hitting on her. He is pretty suave at times...

Pedicabs in Pittsburgh

I forgot to post this from a few weeks ago. Green Gears isn't the first pedicab company I've seen in the city. I chatted for a while with a guy near Penn Brewery about his almost four years ago. I haven't seen him since. I hope they make it. I think the timing is good, as the city seems more accepting of something like this than it was in the past.

I saw the one above in the Strip District. The other night, Dave and I were admiring another giving folks rides between the Cultural District (downtown) and Station Square on the South Side. It's hiding in traffic outside the Byham Theater.

More Pittsburgh murals

The first is on East Carson between Station Square and 10th, on the north side of the road, but facing East. One probably needs to be going toward Station Square to see it.

The next two are at Station Square at the entrance to the Gateway Clipper landing. They give a nice, short pictorial history of the city.
